3. GAGANYAAN
Gaganyaan is the 1st human space flight programme of ISRO.
Objective: To demonstrate indigenous capability of human space flight to low earth orbit.
Launch vehicle: GSLV-Mk III, also called the LVM-3 (Launch Vehicle Mark-3).
India will become the 4th nation in the world to launch a Human Spaceflight Mission after USA, Russia, and China.
4.INS Aridhaman
India inducted its third nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine, INS Aridhaman, into the Indian Navy at Visakhapatnam.
It isbeing built under the Advanced Technology Vessel (ATV) project
INS Arihant is India’s first home-made nuclear submarine. It was launched in July 2009 and was quietly commissioned in 2016.

6.SHANTI ACT to power India’s Nuclear Energy Mission
SHANTI Act, 2025 was passed by the Indian Parliament on December 18 and received presidential assent on December 20.
India’s Nuclear Energy Mission, announced in 2025, reflects the country’s solemn commitment to clean and sustainable energy for economic growth, aiming to attain the goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2070.
To achieve this Shanti bill was introduced
The Act repeals and replaces the Atomic Energy Act 1962 and the Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Act 2010
The Act supports India’s clean energy transition and the long - term objective of achieving 100 GW nuclear energy capacity by 2047, which stands at 8.8 GW as of now
The legislation paves the way for modernising the nuclear energy sector, significantly by opening the sector to regulated private and foreign participation.

10.RAJYA SABHA DAY-3rd april
India marks the Foundation Day of the Rajya Sabha, the Upper House of Parliament established on 3 April 1952
Initially named the "Council of States," it was renamed "Rajya Sabha" on August 23, 1954. It represents the states and Union Territories, serving as a permanent House
First Sitting: The House first met on May 13, 1952.
First Chairman: Dr. S. Radhakrishnan was the first Chairman, serving two terms from 1952 to 1962.
