In November 2025, the Central Board of Film Certification(CBFC)launched aMulti-lingual Moduleone-Cinepramaan portal, aimed to digitize and streamline the film certification process for the Indian film industry.
- The new moduleis introduced as an optional feature, in addition to the existing process, enabling the applicants to submit films in various languages through a single, unified application, significantly reducing procedural duplication.
Key Features:
Single Application:Applicants will be able to upload and submit all language versions simultaneously through the e-Cinepramaan portal.
Unified Certificate:Under this module, each film certified for multilingual release will receive a single Multilingual certificate, specifying all languages in which the film has been approved.
Streamlined Processing:The applications submitted will be processed by one Regional Office.
