Young Indian shuttler Devika Sihag clinched her first BWF Super 300 title at the Thailand Masters 2026 badminton tournament held in Bangkok, Thailand, after Malaysia’s Goh Jin Wei retired midway through the women’s singles final due to injury with Devika leading 21-8, 6-3.
The Thailand Masters is part of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour Super 300 circuit, one of the recognised professional tiers below Super 500, Super 750 and Super 1000 events.
The tournament carries a prize purse of USD 250,000.

Devika is a 20-year-old shuttler from Haryana, India.
She is ranked world No. 63 in women’s singles.
She trains at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengalurunder coach Umendra Rana and has also trained alongside Olympic medallist PV Sindhu.
Devika had earlier won her maiden international title at the Malaysia International in 2025 and contributed to India’s bronze at the 2025 World University Games.
Historic Importance for Indian Badminton:
Devika became only the third Indian woman shuttler to win a BWF Super 300 women’s singles title, joining PV Sindhand Saina Nehwal — two of India’s most successful badminton players.
She also became the first Indian to win the Thailand Masters title across all categories.
