The first Made-in-India Airbus C-295 successfully completed its maiden test flight from Vadodara.
The aircraft has been manufactured by Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) in collaboration with Airbus.
It is the first of 40 C-295 aircraft that will be manufactured in India.
The project is part of a ₹21,935-crore deal signed between the Ministry of Defence and Airbus in 2021.
The Indian Air Force is procuring a total of 56 C-295 aircraft.
The first India-manufactured aircraft is expected to be delivered to the IAF during 2026.
