Gujarat Signs Agreement With Larsen & Toubro Vyoma To Build Ai Data Center In Dholera

The Gujarat government signed an agreement with Larsen & Toubro Vyoma to develop a large AI-ready data centre in Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR).

The deal was finalised at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi.

Key Project Details

The data centre will have a capacity of 250 megawatts.

Total investment is around ₹25,000 crore.

It will be a green, AI-ready, hyperscale data centre designed to support next-generation computing.

The centre is expected to start operations by 2028.

Support advanced services such as cloud computing, AI-based processing, and large-scale data analytics.

Help make Gujarat a major hub for digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence.

Job and Economic Impact

The project is expected to create many jobs during construction and when it becomes operational.

This development will strengthen Gujarat’s digital ecosystem and boost innovation-led growth.

Government Support

Gujarat has allocated over ₹850 crore in this year’s budget for AI and digital services.

The state will facilitate the project through its Science and Technology Department.

L&T Vyoma will conduct feasibility assessments covering land, infrastructure, and sustainability before full implementation.
