About the Mountaineer
Kabak Yano is 27 years old and hails from Arunachal Pradesh.
She is part of an ambitious 7-Summit Mountaineering Expedition, aiming to summit the tallest peaks on all seven continents.

Mount Everest (Asia)
Mount Aconcagua (South America)
Denali (North America)
Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa)
Mount Elbrus (Europe)
Vinson Massif (Antarctica)
Puncak Jaya or Mount Kosciuszko (Oceania)
Previous Successes: Earlier, Yano had scaled Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa) and Mount Elbrus (Europe) in 2025 as part of this expedition.
Records & Recognition: With this ascent, Yano became the first woman from the Nyishi community to summit Mount Aconcagua and the fifth woman from Arunachal Pradesh to achieve the feat.
