Pakistan has ranked 1st in the Global Terrorism Index (GTI) 2026 for the first time

It is now considered the most terrorism-affected country in the world

Rising Terrorism in Pakistan:

Terrorism-related deaths increased by about 6% in 2025

Around 1,139 people were killed in terrorist incidents

Over 1,000 attacks were recorded

This is the highest number of deaths since 2013

Global Trend :

Despite Pakistan’s situation, terrorism deaths worldwide have decreased

Global deaths fell by around 28%, reaching the lowest level in years

A few countries (including Pakistan) account for a large share of global terrorism deaths

Bottom 5 Least Affected Countries:

Countries at the bottom have almost zero impact of terrorism (score near 0)

Singapore

Kuwait

Panama

Laos

Albania

These countries are considered highly stable with strong internal security systems
