- Drone-Centric Doctrine: These units are trained as a "pool of drone operatives." They specialize in using First-Person View (FPV) drones and loitering munitions to engage enemies at a distance, reducing human risk.
- Strategic Deployment: Currently, 15 units have been raised and deployed in sensitive sectors like Ladakh (14 Corps) and the deserts of Rajasthan.
