Context: The Prime Minister inaugurated the Kaziranga Elevated Corridor Project, aimed at ensuring safe wildlife movement across Kaziranga National Park (KNP) and reducing human–wildlife conflict.

Ecological Significance

Biodiversity
- Flagship species:
- Indian one-horned rhinoceros (world’s largest population)
- Other fauna: Tiger, Asian elephant, Wild water buffalo, Swamp deer (barasingha)
- Avifauna: Large diversity of resident and migratory bird species.
