Eco-Sensitive Zones (ESZs)

- Purpose: Act as a transition zone between highly protected areas (like wildlife sanctuaries and national parks) and areas with lesser protection.
- Extent: Usually 10 km from protected area boundary, but may vary depending on site-specific requirements.
