The World's Highest Railway bridge- Chenab Bridge's Golden Joint was inaugurated on13th August, 2022.
The Golden Join is connecting two ends of the deck of the world's highest railway bridge, it will be 35 meters higher than the Eiffel Tower.
The Chenab bridge, located in Jammand Kashmir's Reasi district, is 1,315-metre long and aims to boost connectivity to the Kashmir Valley.
This bridge is part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project.
The golden joint shall now pave the way for engineers to lay tracks on the bridge. With tracks over it, Kashmir will be linked with the rest of India via rail network for the first time since Independence.
